SayIt: Antivirus Software Deletes a Necessary File

Issue:
  • I try to record a dictation but the progress indicator just spins and no transcript returns.
  • In Review and Correct there are "No audio data is available" error messages.

This issue may be a result of antivirus software like BitDefender removing the OggVorbisJNI.dll file from the nVoq client folder. This file is needed to allow the user to successfully submit audio to the nVoq servers.

What to do:
  1. Whitelist the OggVorbiusJNI.dll file in the antivirus on the user's computer.
Instructions for doing that in BitDefender are found at https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/13427/
  2. Close out of SayIt on the user's computer and delete the nVoq folder found in the directory path C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming
  3. Reinstall SayIt on the user's computer from https://[System].nvoq.com/sayit/sayit.exe
