You can make shortcuts that insert text or open web pages, files, folders, and applications. Depending on your account settings, you may also be able to create shortcuts that automate repetitive tasks.

See Shortcut Examples to get some ideas of what shortcuts can do!

Shortcut list cannot be more than 20MB for all shortcuts in the list. Shortcut lists larger than this will fail to download and you will be unable to use shortcuts. The work-around is to remove some shortcuts from your list. You can do this in nVoq.Administrator.

Add a New Shortcut

To make a new shortcut, you will need to open the New Shortcut wizard:
  • Open the Shortcuts menu in the SayIt window and select My Shortcuts. Then in the My Shortcut window, click New and select Shortcut.

-OR-

  • Open the Popup menu and click the "hamburger" (three stacked lines) menu in the top right corner. Then select New Shortcut.

The New Shortcut Wizard opens. To create a new shortcut:
  1. First, configure what you want your shortcut to do by selecting the radio button next to the appropriate shortcut type.

  • Use words that you can look up in a dictionary.
  • Spell out words. (For example, use "account" not "acct".)
  • Put a space between the letters of an acronym if they will be pronounced as separate letters.
