Topic Update: 02-11-2021

Accuracy - General

• Accuracy Improvements - Changes were made to improve the balance between phonetics and language modeling prioritization to improve accuracy across most topics, but mostly in the Orthopedics topic. (B-15815)  

Accuracy - General Medicine

• Extra Support for words containing "vagin" - Added extra support in the dictionary for words that contain "vagin" in them like "transvaginal," "vulvovaginal," and "vaginitis." (B-15909)
• "2" returning for "to" - The number "2" was returning instead of "to" for a particular dictation. This issue has been fixed. (D-12396)
• Letter returning instead of word - The letter "C" was returning instead of "see" and "L" instead of "later." These issues have been fixed. (D-12395)
• "WBC" expanded -  When the acronym "WBC" was spoken, the engine would automatically expand it to "white blood cell count." Now when "WBC" is spoken, "WBC" will be returned. (D-12406)
• Celsius spelled incorrectly -  The word "Celsius" was mispelled as "celcius" and was not capitalized. Both issues have been fixed. (D-12398)
• Extraneous "sa" - "sa" was returning when not spoken. (D-12412) 

Accuracy - Pathology

• Color violet - The color "violet" was returning capitalized when it should not have been. (D-12394)
• Extraneous "A" - An extra "A" was returned even though it was not spoken. (D-12399)

Accuracy - Veterinary

• Fractional sized French catheters - The decimal "." in fractional sized French catheters was returning as the word "point". A "-" was returning between the size and the word "French."  Both issues have been fixed. (D-12390)
