If your password is changed in any nVoq application (Voice or the Administrator console) while you are logged in to the Wireless Microphone app, the app will return back to the sign in screen the next time you attempt to dictate. Then you can sign in with your new password.
Your iOS device cannot simultaneously be used on a phone call and as a microphone with the app.
The beginning of audio may get cut off. The work-around is to pause before speaking after you tap the voice shortcut or dictation button.
Dictation
While you can use this app over cellular network, the iOS Wireless Mic works best when connected to WIFI.
If you receive and/or answer a phone call on your device or navigate away from the dictation screen while you are recording a dictation, the recording will be stopped and your dictation transcript (that was captured up until that point) is pasted into your application.
If your device loses connection to your WiFi network or due to a poor cellular connection while you are dictating, the app will NOT save your audio recording and submit it after the connection has been established.
The iOS Wireless Microphone uses WebSocket connections for dictation unless otherwise specified via API.
In order to protect our resources we currently only allow a maximum of eight (8) dictations to to be processed by our server for a single user at one time. If more than the maximum number of dictation requests are made, you will get an error.
