14.1 SayIt, SayIt Administrator, nVoq.Administrator, Shortcut Designer, and nVoq API Release
May 2019

SayIt and AgentAssist

New Features & Improvements in SayIt/AgentAssist
  • New Sayit Splash Screen for SayIt Executable - The splash screen that displays while waiting for SayIt or AgentAssist to launch from an executable file (sayit.exe) has been updated and will now display the nVoq name inside a cloud. (B-14760, 3/6/2019)
Bug Fixes in SayIt/AgentAssist
  • Multiple Punctuation Marks Transcribed with Wireless Mic & Direct Text - More than one punctuation mark would return when dictated into the SayIt client or third party app while using the Wireless Mic with Direct Text enabled. The issue would occur when speaking the punctuation mark by itself (e.g. "question mark"), but did not occur when a punctuation mark is used with other words (e.g. "This is a test question mark").  The work-around was to disable Direct Text while using the Wireless Microphone, or to use Direct Text with a different recommended microphone.  This issue has been fixed in 14.1. (D-11252, 2/15/2019)
  • Dictations of "two thousand ##" Returned as "to thousand ##" - Dictations of numbers such as "two thousand eighty five" would return as "to thousand 85" instead of "2085" if sentence modeling that included the word "to" was associated with the user account. Support was added for the word "two" to help these dictations to return correctly as numerals in the transcript. (D-11169, 2/19/2019)
  • Fast Shortcuts Required Logout to Enable - In the 13.2 and 14.0 versions of SayIt / AgentAssist you had to log out and log back in order to use Fast Shortcuts. In 14.1, this has been fixed. Now when you enable Fast Shortcuts on the Shortcuts menu, you will see a message saying, "Please wait while we're getting ready". Once that message is gone, Fast Shortcuts are ready to use, no logout required. (D-11118, 2/19/2019)
  • Multiple Punctuation Marks Transcribed with Wireless Mic & Direct Text - When dictating with Direct Text enabled on the Wireless Microphone,  two (or more) periods would sometimes be inserted at the end of a sentence when this punctuation is spoken. The double period would only appear in the SayIt window, not in the transcript on the Review & Correct page. The work-around was to disable Direct Text while using the Wireless Microphone, or to use Direct Text with a different recommended microphone.  This issue has been fixed in 14.1. (D-11244, 2/26/2018)
  • Dictation Failure: Unable to Submit Dictations - A customer submitted a ticket to nVoq Support regarding them not being able to submit dictations. The problem was that the Audio ID in the audio table had reached its maximum value.  At the time, the issue was corrected by removing entries, but now we have updated the Audio ID column so it can hold more data. (D-11165, 3/19/2019)
  • Dictation Failure: No Transcript Returned - We received a support ticket regarding an issue in which users would dictate, but no transcript was returned. This was caused by the dictation server getting into a bad state. Server stability has been improved to prevent this from happening. (D-11277, 3/21/2019)
  • Dictation Server Crash: Too Many Vocabulary Pronunciations - Since there are different ways of pronouncing any given word, the dictation server provides a list of possible pronunciations. For some words (like Horatio Anschuetz, APN-C/RNFA) there are too many possible pronunciations, which was causing our dictation server to crash. There is now a function to limit the list of possible pronunciations to correct this behavior. (D-11275, D-11322, 4/15/2019)
Features Removed from SayIt/AgentAssist
  • Vision Shortcuts - Because it is not being used, the Vision Shortcut feature which used shape and character image recognition to "see" things like check boxes, text fields, and text on a user's screen, has been retired. If you attempt to execute an existing vision shortcut, a message will display stating that vision shortcuts are no longer supported. (B-14772, 4/16/2019)

SayIt Administrator

New Features & Improvements in SayIt Administrator
  • Old Diagnostic Log Files Removed - With the movement of the matching audio to S3, diagnostic log files are now the largest consumer of the database. Starting in 14.1, diagnostic log files over one year old will be automatically removed by the Clean Records scheduled job, which is typically set to run weekly. (B-14757, 4/15/2019)
Bug Fixes in SayIt Administrator
  • Advanced Paste Account Property -  In earlier releases there was no way tell if a user has the "Advanced Paste" setting enabled or disabled on their account without asking them. In 14.1, this will now appear as an Account Property, which is visible on the Accounts page in the Administrator console. "True" indicates that this setting was enabled for the user either in SayIt / AgentAssist or in the Administrator console. When Advanced Paste is enabled, dictation transcripts or shortcut text appears where the cursor is when the hotkey is released.  (D-11258, 3/26/2019)
  • Error Adding Account or Vocabulary to Organization with "cc:" as Vocabulary - We received a support ticket regarding an error message ("The system encountered an error trying to add base vocabularies. Process BuildLangVocab failed generating user profile.") which appeared when adding  new vocabulary to an organization that had a vocabulary term of "cc:" with no Sounds Like pronunciation. More investigation showed that an error ("The system encountered an error trying to create the new account.") would also appear if adding a new user account to an organization with this vocabulary term. Work has been done to allow the use of abbreviations in vocabulary. (D-11237, 3/26/2019)
  • Active Shortcuts Link Missing from Review & Correct Item Detail - When Fast Shortcuts was toggled on or off in the client while a user was logged in to the iOS Wireless Microphone app, the Item Detail window on the Review & Correct page would sometimes not show the link to Download Active Shortcuts, which downloads the grammar file used for troubleshooting. This should no longer occur, as Fast Shortcuts no longer run on the iOS Wireless Microphone. All shortcuts run on Wireless Mics now use server-side matching. (D-11228, 4/5/2019)
  • Subscription Management "Active" Column Discrepancy on Report vs. Export - In the Subscription Management report all users (whether paying, in a trial, or non-billable) who have recorded a dictation or used a shortcut within the date and time period selected on the report are currently accounted for in the "Active" column. In the exported .csv file of the Subscription Management report however, only the users who are paying and have performed a dictation or shortcut within the selected time period were considered to be an "active" user. This has been fixed. The Active column on the report now matches the information in the Active column on the exported .csv file. (D-11308. 4/15/2019)
  • Long Time Saving Organizations - There was an issues causing slowness when adding an organization, which was most noticeable for large organization structures. The notification logic for changes to the organization was enhanced to improve this. (D-11300, 5/2/2019)
  • Incorrect Terms and Conditions on PUPM Switched to PUPY - If you change a PUPM subscription to a PUPY in the middle of the month, the account should be charged the monthly charge for the current month, with the yearly subscription beginning the following month and a renewal date of a year from that month. There was a bug in the system which was charging the account for only 11 months and assigning a renewal date from the month in which the account was changed to PUPY. This has been fixed in 14.1. (D-11362, 5/15/2019)
Features Removed from SayIt Administrator
  • Vision Shortcuts Setting on Add/Edit Account Page  - Because it is not being used, the Vision Shortcut feature which used shape and character image recognition to "see" things like check boxes, text fields, and text on a user's screen, has been retired and removed from the Add/Edit Account page. (B-14772, 4/16/2019)

nVoq.Administrator

The new nVoq.Administrator is a work in progress, and is currently in a pre-ALPHA state. Not all functionality is included yet. New functionality has been added in this release, including the items listed below.
Progress on nVoq.Administrator
  • Send Username or Password Recovery Emails - You can now send Username and Password Recovery emails from the Accounts page. (B-14713, 3/1/2019)
  • Delete Accounts -  You can now delete accounts on the Accounts page in nVoq.Administrator. (B-14716, 3/14/2019)
  • Session Timeout - If your session times out when viewing a page, you will be redirected back to the login page and see a message that states, "Session timeout expired. Please login again." After logging in again, you will be redirected back to the page you were viewing when session expired, and should see the same data you were viewing before the timeout occurred. (B-14783, 4/3/2019)
  • Add New Accounts - You can now add new accounts on the Accounts page in nVoq.Administrator. (B-14575, 4/10/2019)
  • Download Accounts - You can now download a CSV file of accounts that includes all necessary columns needed to upload the accounts on a different system. The file can include all accounts in a selected organization, only accounts included in search results, or only selected accounts. Note that the "Username" column is now one word in the header, as opposed to "User name" which is the column header in a SayIt Administrator export file. This means that you cannot download an account list from nVoq.Administrator and upload it in SayIt Administrator without first adding that space in the header name. (B-14782, 4/12/2019)
  • Edit Existing Accounts - You can now edit an existing account on the Accounts page in nVoq.Administrator. (B-14728, 4/18/2019)
  • Configure Time Zone - You can now configure a time zone on the Settings screen which will set the zone for data that has a time stamp, like the Review & Correct page. (B-14709, 4/26/2019)
  • See Tenant List - System-level administrators can view and download the tenant list on the system-level Tenants page. (B-14749, 4/29/2019)
  • New Organization Drop Down Menus - The organization drop-down menus have been updated to a new framework. The Client Group menu on the Accounts page now only displays groups as active and able to select. (B-14821)
  • Upload Accounts - You can now upload a CSV file to add new accounts quickly. The file can include the minimum information (username, first name, last name, and email) and add all users to the same group or with the same password, for example, or add optional columns which specific specific information. The optional columns are any of the account properties listed in the account creation API. You can also upload older CSV files (from SayIt Administrator) using the nVoq.Administrator upload. (B-14825, 5/2/2019)

Shortcut Designer

New Features & Improvements in Shortcut Designer
  • New Look - Shortcut Designer has been updated with a new design language, which changes the look of the platform, but not the functionality. (B-14663, 4/4/2019)
  • Key Recorder for Keyboard Automations - Shortcut Designer now includes a key recorder to make creating keyboard automation shortcuts easier. (B-14342, 4/158/2019)
  • View & Restore Previous Shortcut Version - On the History tab you can now view previous versions of the Written Form of a shortcut and restore a shortcut to a previous version. (B-14327, 5/10/2019)
Bug Fixes in Shortcut Designer
  • Add to Folder List Not Alphabetical - When you open the More Action menu for a shortcut and select Add to Folder, the folders were not listed in alphabetical order. They are now. (D-11183,  2/12/2019)
  • New Read Only Users Cannot Log In Until Initial Password Change in Another Application - In the previous release, new users with an Admin Role of "Read Only" and client access could not log in to Shortcut Designer until they changed their initial password in the Administrator console or in the client (if their division was set to change password on initial login). When attempting to log in to Shortcut Designer with their initial password, users were taken back out to the login page, but no error is presented. This has been fixed in 14.1.  (D-11133, 2/13/2019)
  • Progress Indicator Never Stops when Password Changed in Another Application - If a user password is changed in another application, like SayIt or AgentAssist while the user is working in Shortcut Designer, an attempt to save a shortcut or shortcut folder will result in a progress indicator that just spins. In 14.1, Shortcut Designer will take you back to the login screen if the password is changed in another application. Any unsaved work in progress will be lost. (D-11174,  2/20/2019)
  • Inability to Duplicate Shortcuts with Alternative Names - The duplicate functionality allows you to copy an existing shortcut so you can quickly create variations of the same base shortcut. When you duplicate a shortcut, all values of the original shortcut are copied to the new shortcut. Because all shortcut names within a given organization or account must be unique, it was impossible to duplicate a shortcut that included alternative names since those names would be the same the alternative names for the original shortcut. To allow duplication of shortcuts with alternative names, the alternative names are not included in the newly copied shortcut. (D-11192, 4/3/2019)
  • Shortcut Designer Deleting Original Shortcut instead of Newly Created Shortcut - If you click the plus icon to create a new shortcut while you're viewing a shortcut and then attempt to delete that new shortcut, the shortcut you were viewing when you created the new shortcut will be deleted instead of the new shortcut. This has been fixed. The trash can icon (delete) is no longer present on new shortcuts. In order to see the trash can icon in the upper right corner of a shortcut, you must close the shortcut and then re-open it to edit it. (You can also delete it from the shortcut list by clicking on the Actions menu and selecting Delete.) (D-11330, 4/30/2019)
  • Problems with Choice Components with Four or More Responses - A couple of problems were found with saving a Choice type of HTML component with four or more answers. First, when a Choice component was created with more than four answers, all of the answers on that component would be cleared out when a new component of any kind was added to the same shortcut. The work-around was to save the shortcut after adding the first component. Second, when a choice component with four or more choices was edited, the save button at the bottom of the shortcut would not become active to save the changes. These issues have both been fixed. (D-11318, 5/6/2019)
  • Deleting Shortcuts with Alternative Names Breaks Account Shortcuts - If you deleted an account shortcut that had an alternative name and that had been used by the user, the alternative name of the shortcut would not really be deleted and would still appear in SayIt or AgentAssist with the alternative name. It would not appear in SayIt Administrator or in Shortcut Designer, however. If all of a user's account shortcuts were deleted, SayIt Administrator and Shortcut Designer would produce an error and not function when trying to view the user's shortcut (empty) list. You would not be able to add any account shortcuts for the user. This only occurred if the user had used the shortcuts. If the user had never used the shortcuts, everything worked fine. This has been fixed in 14.1. Now the alternative name shortcuts get deleted with parent shortcuts and everything works as expected. (D-11379, 5/15/2019)
