September 2019

SayIt and AgentAssist

New Features & Improvements in SayIt/AgentAssist
  • Fast Dictation Improvements - Work has been done to ensure that dictations using the "Fast Dictation" connection present a transcript to users even if there are issues encountered with the application server along the way. If issues with the application server are detected, the transcript may take a little longer to start returning, but should include last known vocabulary, substitutions, and sentence modeling.  (B-14847, B-14846 , B-14888, B-14848, B-14849, B-14754  5/29/2019; B-14852, 6/11/2019;  B-14906, 7/10/2019)
Bug Fixes in SayIt/AgentAssist
  • Change Password No Longer Disables /Removes Hands Free Option - In the previous release, changing your password from the SayIt client disables Hands Free and removes it from the Options menu. This has been fixed in 14.2. (D-11403, 6/1/2019)

SayIt Administrator

New Features & Improvements in SayIt Administrator
  • Higher Security for Accounts with Admin Role - In order to protect PHI and PCI data, all accounts with an Administrator Role (Customer Administrator, Read Only, or Shortcut Designer) will now automatically adhere to the same password settings as system, tenant, or company level accounts regardless of client access or whether or not the account was created below the division level (where client password settings are configured). As part of this, all accounts with an Administrator Role will be required to change their password every 90 days and have a password strength of "Medium".  (B-14773, 6/18/2019)
  • New Account Properties for Executable or Java Web Start Client Launch - Three new account properties have been added to let administrators know whether or not the executable file (sayit.exe) was used to launch the SayIt or AgentAssist client or if the client was launched via Java Web Start. The properties (N Voq Client App Type, N Voq Client Exe Last Use, and/or N Voq Client Jws Last Use) appear on the Edit Account page under Account Properties after the user launches the SayIt or AgentAssist client. the N Voq Client App Type property lists either nVoqClient.exe or nVoqClient.jws depending on whether or not the client was launched from the executable file (.exe) or Java Web Start (.jws). The other two properties N Voq Client Exe Last Use and N Voq Client Jws Last Use will appear when the client is launched from the corresponding method, and will show the last date and time that the client was launched from that method. (B-14786, 7/15/2019)
Bug Fixes in SayIt Administrator
  • Fast Dictations Not Reporting Correct Times on System Health Report - The System Health report Item Detail used to include profile load times, and these were still used in computing the deltas, even though they no longer appeared.  The values that were used to compute deltas were changed to match what is displayed in the Item Detail. Now a Fast Dictation (WebSocket dictation) that takes longer to start returning text will show up with a bigger delta between "Picked-Up by Dictation Server" and "Transcription Started," like it should have. (D-11395, 5/22/2019)
  • nVoq.Mobile Voice Dictations with Dropped Connection Errors Do Not Include Transcript in Review & Correct - If an error occurs while using nVoq.Mobile Voice which drops connection to the server (e.g. "No Audio Received in Timeout Period" or "WebSocket closed unexpectedly" errors) the full audio up to the point of the error/disconnect would appear in Review & Correct, but there was no text/transcript.  This has been fixed in 14.2. the partial transcript matching the audio that was received now appears in Review & Correct. (D-11360, 5/23/2019)
  • Switching Enterprise Account to No Trial Creates Error - If an account is configured with an "Enterprise" subscription plan and also for the account to be in a "Trial" period, a billing error would present in SayIt Administrator upon attempt to change the account to "No Trial" on the Trial Expires menu. An account created with an Enterprise account should not have a trial period, since Enterprise accounts are pre-paid. This bug has been fixed. SayIt Administrator will no longer present a billing error upon switching Enterprise accounts back to "no trial".  (D-11396, 6/24/2019)
  • Billing Error When Making user Billable and Adding AOS - Billing errors were occurring in SayIt Administrator when changing a non-billable user to billable and adding the Accuracy Optimization Service to the account. These have been fixed. (D-11441, 7/16/2019)
  • Unable to Change Certain Topics - Changing a group's topic from Gastroenterology or Oncology to General Medicine or vice versa was not updating the group settings; the original topic would continue to be reflected as the topic. The user was still presented with a success message even though the value for the "Topic" did not change. As a work-around, you could change the topic from Gastroenterology or Oncology to a different topic, like Behavior Health, and then change that topic to General Medicine. The has been fixed in 14.2. (D-11514, 8/6/2019)
  • Account with Multiple Canceled Subscriptions Charged Twice for Reenabled Subscription - When an a yearly subscription (PUPY) is re-enabled on an account that has multiple canceled subscriptions, the wrong subscription is reactivated resulting in the account being charged two times. This has been fixed and the account is now only charged for one correct subscription. (D-11512, 8/6/2019)

(B-14890, 6/17/2019)
  • Higher Security for Accounts with Admin Role - In order to protect PHI and PCI data, all accounts with an Administrator Role (of Customer Administrator, Read Only, or Shortcut Designer) will automatically adhere to the same password settings as system, tenant, or company level accounts regardless of client access or whether or not the account was created below the division level (where client password settings are configured). As part of this, all accounts with an Administrator Role will be required to change their password every 90 days and have a password strength of "Medium". (B-14773, 6/18/2019)
  • Delete an Organization - You can now delete an organization on the Organizations page. You can delete an organization one of two ways: Select the organization in the list so that it turns green, and click the trash can icon (in the blue bar) at the top right of the page, OR open the Actions menu next to the organization and select Delete Organization. (B-14908, 6/25/2019)
  • View Shortcuts - Work has begun to add Shortcut Designer functionality to nVoq.Administrator. Now, a user with or without an administrator role can log in to nVoq.Administrator and view the list of shortcuts on the Shortcuts page. Users with a Shortcut Designer Admin Role can also log in to nVoq.Administrator and view this page. Client-only users can only view the Shortcuts page in nVoq.Administrator and can only view shortcuts that are available to them in SayIt or AgentAssist. (B-14973, 6/27/2019)
  • Word Wrap on Review & Correct Accuracy Difference - The Accuracy Difference tab on the Detail Review & Correct page shows corrected text with changes highlighted and crossed out. The text was appearing in one long line until now. (D-11477, 6/28/2019)
  • Client-Only User Shortcuts View - As a client-only user of SayIt or AgentAssist, you can log in to nVoq.Administrator and go directly to the Shortcuts page. By default, the page will list only your account shortcut (if you have any). You can use the toggle at the top left to include your organization shortcuts (if any) in the shortcut list too. (B-14997, 7/12/2019)
  • New Account Properties for Executable or Java Web Start Client Launch - Three new account properties have been added to let administrators know whether or not the executable file (sayit.exe) was used to launch the SayIt or AgentAssist client or if the client was launched via Java Web Start. The properties (N Voq Client App Type, N Voq Client Exe Last Use, and N Voq Client Jws Last Use) appear on the Edit Account page under the Properties tab after the user launches the SayIt or AgentAssist client.
  • Delete a Tenant - You can now delete a tenant organization on the Tenants page at the system level in nVoq.Administrator. You must be a system level administrator to see this page. (B-14880, 8/6/2019)
  • Add / Edit Tenant - At the system level a system administrator can now view a list of tenant organizations, add a new tenant, or edit an existing tenant on the Tenants page in nVoq.Administrator. (B-14952, 8/7/2019)
Bug Fixes in nVoq.Administrator
  • Creating Accounts when Dictation Server Unavailable - When creating an account in nVoq.Administrator during the unlikely event of a dictation server being unavailable, nVoq.Administrator would produce an error and the application would freeze up. This has been fixed. You can now create accounts in nVoq.Administrator even if there is no dictation server currently available. (The account holder would, of course, still get an error in SayIt if attempting to use dictation with no dictation server available.) Note that the nVoq.Administrator functionality differs from SayIt Administrator, where an attempt to create an account with no dictation server available will still produce an error (but will not freeze up the application).  (D-11478, 7/10/2019)
Features in SayIt Administrator that are NOT in nVoq.Administrator
  • "Accuracy After Substitutions" and View Corrected Text from List View Retired from Review & Correct - In SayIt Administrator it was possible to see both the Accuracy Before Substitutions percentage and Accuracy After Substitutions percentage in the list view of the Review & Correct page. Both accuracy percentages were listed directly on the page, and you could click on each of them to view the corrected text with and without substitutions. In the current version release of nVoq.Administrator, only one is displayed. "Transcript Accuracy" is the equivalent of the accuracy percentage "before substitutions" are applied to the transcript. To view corrections made you must open the item; corrections only for the equivalent of the transcription accuracy percentage "before substitutions" is displayed under the Accuracy Difference tab. Note: The substitution transcript accuracy percentage is slated to be added back in a later release (B-14957). (B-14675, 6/12/2019)
  • IP Access Settings - The IP Access Settings tab on the Organizations page at the group level will not be included in nVoq.Administrator. This feature restricted access to the SayIt servers based on the origination IP address of the user. If a SayIt user or a group level Administrator attempted to log in from an unapproved IP Address, the user was not allowed to log in. By default, access from any IP Address is allowed. This feature was not being used by any current customers, and is being retired. (B-14710, 7/30/2019)
  • Group Level Training PDF - The Training tab on the Organizations page at the group level will not be included in nVoq.Administrator. This feature allowed you to add a PDF that would open in the SayIt or AgentAssist client for all users in a group. The feature was deemed no longer needed and has been retired. (B-14936, 7/30/2019)
  • Java Upgrade Warning Message Configuration - The Java Upgrade Warning is a setting on the Tenants page (at the System level) will not be included in nVoq.Administrator. The setting  was added to SayIt Administratorin the 13.0 release to configure whether or not to show a message telling users running older versions of Java to upgrade due to Java 6 and 7 no longer being supported. All users have now upgraded Java beyond version 7, so this warning message is no longer needed. (B-14952, 8/7/2019)
  • Shortcut Alternatives Not in Shortcut List View - In SayIt Administrator, the Alternatives column on the Shortcuts page lists all of the alternative shortcut names that have been assigned to an organization shortcut. This column has been removed from the shortcut list on the Shortcuts page in nVoq.Administrator. Alternative shortcut names are visible in SayIt or AgentAssist in the popup menu and in the My Shortcuts window, in the shortcut list in the nVoq.Wireless Microphone app, and on the Options tab when adding or editing a shortcut in nVoq.Administrator. (B-14973)

Shortcut Designer

New Features & Improvements in Shortcut Designer
  • Automatic Restore Notice in Shortcut History - When a shortcut is restored from a previous version, the restored version of the shortcut gets added to the top of the History when the shortcut is saved. When that happens, a note stating that the shortcut was restored and what version number was used will be automatically added to the Internal Notes field on the Options tab and on the History tab. (B-14874, 6/12/2019)
  • Higher Security for Accounts with Admin Role of Shortcut Designer - In order to protect PHI and PCI data, all accounts with an Administrator Role, including one of "Shortcut Designer", will automatically adhere to the same password settings as system level accounts regardless of client access or whether or not the account was created below the division level (where client password settings are configured). As part of this, all accounts with an Administrator Role will be required to change their password every 90 days and the password itself will have a strength of "Medium", among other settings. (B-14773, 6/18/2019)
Bug Fixes in Shortcut Designer
  • Shortcut History Not Deleted with Shortcut - It was possible for a shortcut that was newly created to show months-old shortcut history due to shortcut history not being deleted when a shortcut was deleted. This has been fixed. Now shortcut history is deleted (along with alternate shortcut history) when shortcuts are deleted. On deployment of 14.2, a migration script will find and delete abandoned shortcut histories with no corresponding shortcut. (D-11337, 5/28/2019)
  • Organization Keyboard Shortcut Controls Available for Client-Only User - In the previous release, when a client-only user (with no admin access) was viewing an organization keyboard automation shortcut the Insert a Delay and Record Keystrokes buttons were available. The use could record keystrokes and insert delays into the shortcut Written Form field, but could not save the changes. This has been fixed in 14.2. Now when a client-only user opens an organization keyboard shortcut, the shortcut is read-only; no keyboard shortcut-related controls are displayed and the save button is disabled. Only the cancel button is active, which will navigate back to the shortcut list view.  (D-11385, 6/11/2019)
  • Voice Enabled Property Not Saved - In the previous release, the Voice Enabled property on the Options tab was not being saved. If you deselected the Voice Enabled property and then saved the shortcut, the next time you opened the shortcut the property would be selected again. This has been fixed. (D-11339, 6/12/2019)
  • Modified By and Internal Notes Field Too Close - In the previous release, there was no space between the Modified By and Internal Notes columns on the History tab if the Internal Note was very long. This has been fixed. (D-11368, 6/13/2019)
  • Double Breadcrumb Display - In the previous release, when the browser width was reduced below approximately 1200 pixels, the breadcrumbs in the blue bar would display double (such as "Home Home"). This has been fixed. (D-11388, 6/26/2019)
  • Shortcut Designer Admin Role Cannot Add Org Shortcuts to Account Folders - An administrator with an Admin Role of Shortcut Designer should be able to add organization shortcuts to user account folders, but this functionality was broken in 14.1 and would produce an error. The work around was for a user to add the organization shortcut to the account folder via SayIt or AgentAssist. Functionality has been restored in Shortcut Designer in 14.2. (D-11389, 7/1/2019)
  • Partial Edit Box for Choice Components - After editing (and saving) an existing HTML shortcut with more than one Radio Button or Checkbox Choice component that have no default values selected, the next time you try to edit a Choice component in that same shortcut a partial edit box is displayed that shows just a Cancel button and nothing above it. The user cannot close the partial box without clicking on the Cancel button several (25-30) times. This has been fixed. (D-11530, 8/15/2019)
  • Always on Top HTML Shortcut Setting Breaks Paste Functionality of Version 2 HTML Shortcuts - HTML Shortcuts that have the "Always on top" setting enabled will not paste text into the SayIt/AgentAssist client or into a third party app if the user has the "Version 2" Electron framework for HTML Shortcuts enabled for their account. (The Always on Top setting for HTML shortcuts makes the shortcut window stay on top of all other windows on the desktop, even if you bring another window into focus.) The work-around was disable the "Always on top" option for the shortcut. This has been fixed. HTML Shortcuts run on the Electron framework (Version 2) should paste text into the client and/or third-party apps even if "Always on Top" is enabled. (D-11438, 8/15/2019)
  • HTML Window Width & Height Revert to Default Value - In the last release or two, sometimes when you enter a number in the Window Height or Window Width field on the Options tab of an HTML shortcut, the number that you typed in will appear to have not been saved and will revert back to the default (600). However when you re-open the shortcut, whatever number you entered is still there. This will sometimes occur when you click the Save button, but will also sometimes occur immediately after you type in the new number, especially with 3-digit numbers. This issue has been fixed in 14.2. (D-11427, 8/16/2019)
