20.3.0 Release
September 2025 - See Product Deployment Dates for more information.
- New Activity Type in Review & Correct - As part of ongoing work to support an upcoming feature, a new activity type labeled “Conversations” has been added to the Type filter menu on the Review & Correct page. When this activity is selected, the Corrected option will not appear in the Status filter (because Conversations transcripts cannot be corrected). Going forward, conversation item IDs begin with the letter "C" for easier identification. Because these dictations are processed through a different path than standard dictations, the timing and word count data shown on the Review & Correct page may be inaccurate. Additionally, Conversations recordings will be excluded from future reports that track dictation data, such as total number of dictations and words per dictation. Note: Conversations recorded prior to this update will not be included in the new process or reporting changes. (S-18076, 8/1/2025, 20.3.0 b5)
- New Topic in Review & Correct - As part of ongoing work to support an upcoming feature, a new topic labeled “Conversations” may appear in the Topic column on the Review & Correct page list view and on the Timeline tab. This label is used to distinguish Conversation recordings from standard dictations, as they follow a different processing path behind the scenes. Note: This change does not include Conversations recorded prior to this update. (S-18490, 8/1/2025, 20.3.0 b5)
- Fix for Apostrophes in Usernames and Last Names in Reports - Usernames and last names containing apostrophes were not displaying correctly in nVoq reports. For example, a username like
so'[email protected]
and last nameO'Malley
appeared assou0027[email protected]
andOu0027Malley
. This issue has been resolved, and apostrophes now display properly in all relevant fields. (D-13862, 8/5/2025, 20.3.0 b6) - New Tooltip Added to Review & Correct "Look for Word" Filter - As part of ongoing work to support an upcoming feature, a new tooltip has been added next to the Look for Word filter on the Review & Correct page. Hover over the tooltip icon (
) to see the message: “Results for Conversations may be limited based on available data.” This note appears because Conversation recordings follow a different transcription path than standard dictations, which may affect the availability and consistency of search results. (S-18489, 8/5/2025, 20.3.0 b7)
- Detail Review & Correct Page Updated for Conversations - As part of ongoing work to support the upcoming Conversations feature, the Detail Review & Correct page has been redesigned for these new item types. Because substitutions are not supported for Conversation recordings, the traditional Original and Substitution tabs are replaced by a single Conversation field that displays the diarized transcript. Additionally, since Conversation transcripts cannot be corrected to improve dictation accuracy, the Corrected Text box does not appear for these items. You can still optionally mark a Conversation item as "Poor Quality" if the audio is especially difficult to hear or understand, or if the diarized transcript is significantly inaccurate. Note: As part of this work, the Correct Text box has also been removed for shortcuts, since those cannot be corrected either. (S-18481, 8/5/2025, 20.3.0 b6; S-18464, 8/7/2025, 20.3.0 b7)
- Fix for Delayed Login Timestamps in nVoq Administrator - Previously, the First Login and Last Login timestamps were not immediately updated in nVoq Administrator when a user signed in. These fields, which are available on the Accounts page via the Customize Columns feature and also on the Account Creation and Account Account reports, would eventually populate, but only after a delay of several days. This issue has now been resolved for Voice, Mobile Voice for Android, and the Wireless Microphone apps on both iOS and Android. A separate work item will address this issue for the iOS version of Mobile Voice (see below). (D-13774, 8/6/2025, 20.3.0 b8)
- Fix for No Login Timestamps in nVoq Administrator for iOS Mobile Voice - Previously, First Login and Last Login timestamps were not being reported to nVoq Administrator by iOS Mobile Voice, and therefore would not appear on the Accounts page, or Account Creation and Active Account reports. This issue has now been resolved. Note, this was actually fixed with a Mobile Voice iOS item, which will be deployed in patch release for that product around 8/14/2025). (D-13890, 8/13/2025, tested in Mobile Voice v.20.1.1 3.1.0-rc-4, tested in Admin v.20.3.0 b14)
- Fix for Uploading Note Assist Categories Over 255 Characters – In the previous release, we resolved an issue where Note Assist categories over 255 characters would not save. However, the same problem occurred when uploading these categories. If you attempted to upload a file containing a category with 255 or more characters, you might first see a green message indicating the file looked good, but upon saving, an error appeared stating, "A file with a category is required." This issue has now been corrected, so you can download categories with 255+ characters and upload them without errors. (D-13896, 8/15/2025, 20.3.0 b15)
20.2.0 Release
July 2025
Administrator
- Expired Identity Provider Tokens Remain Visible for 7 Days - In previous releases, identity provider auto provisioning tokens were automatically removed from the Auto Provisioning Token page on the same day that they expired, which meant that it was not obvious that the token had expired because it was gone. In the 20.0.0 release, we addressed part of this issue by adding email notifications for tenant-level Customer Administrators, alerting them to upcoming token expirations. With this release, expired tokens will now remain visible on the Auto Provisioning Token page for seven days after expiration so that it is very clear that they have expired. (S-17894, 6/6/2025, 20.2.0 b4)
- Fix for Delayed Correction Data in Dictation Usage Organization Detail Report on New Reporting Platform - Data from corrections made on the Review & Correct page shortly after midnight may have been delayed in appearing in the Dictation Usage Organization Detail Report on our new reporting platform due to a timestamp issue. This only affected administrators who are using the new reporting platform, which is currently only available for the Dictation Usage Organization Detail Report. This issue has been resolved in release 20.2.0. (D-13849, 6/17/2025, 20.2.0 b10)
- Fix for Incorrect Highlighting in Note Assist Category Testing - In the last release, we made a security update to prevent potentially harmful code from being included in displayed text. As a result, Note Assist's category testing feature sometimes highlights the wrong sections of text. This issue has now been resolved. (D-13861, 6/18/2025, 20.2.0 b12)
- Fix for Inconsistent Results in R&C “Look for Word” Filter - The Look for Word filter on the Review & Correct page was showing inconsistent results, especially after adjusting the date range. For example, expanding the date range could result in fewer matches for a word - which impacts the accuracy of usage or compliance reviews. This issue was caused by a record limit in the search query. That limit has now been removed, and the filter returns complete results across the selected time window. (D-13811, 6/19/2025, 20.2.0 b13)
- Character Limit Removed for Note Assist Categories - In previous releases, "and/or" clauses in Note Assist categories were limited to 255 characters, and categories exceeding this limit would not save. This issue has been resolved - there is no longer a character limit on Note Assist categories. (S-18311, 6/24/2025, 20.2.0 b15)
- Note Assist "Failure Responses" Renamed - To better reflect their purpose, "Failure Responses" in Note Assist have been renamed to "Coaching Tips." These optional messages can be added by administrators and appear below a failed category when Note Assist is run, providing helpful guidance on what information is missing or needs to be added for the category to pass. The new Coaching Tips name is now visible in the Note Assist list view, the Add/Edit Category page, and in downloaded audit files (CSV format). The Note Assist category upload template has also been updated to reflect this change. For convenience and compatibility, the system will still accept files using the old Failure Response column header when uploading categories. (S-18310, 6/24/2025, 20.2.0 b15)
- Improved Visibility for Coaching Tips on the Note Assist Audit Test Tab - Coaching Tips (formerly called "Failure Responses") on the Test tab for Note Assist audits now appear in red text with a pink highlight to make them easier to spot. These tips have always been displayed beneath failed category names, but the updated styling makes them more noticeable. (S-18345, 7/3/2025)
- Fix for Errors When Updating Users with Apostrophes in Account Information - In the previous release, account names or email addresses containing an apostrophe (') could cause an internal server error when updating user properties. This issue has been resolved in the 20.2.0 release. (D-13854, 7/9/2025, 20.2.0 b26)
- Note Assist Now Counted in Active Account Reports - Previously, the Active Account Detail and Active Account Summary reports in Administrator did not include Note Assist usage in the Active Account or Inactive Account calculations. Although Note Assist usage appeared in its own column on these reports, it was not factored into overall activity totals. This has been fixed in the 20.2.0 release. (D-13860, 7/15/2025, 20.2.0 b27)
Administration API
- Increased Limit for Substitution Retrieval APIs - As part of resolving a defect related to substitutions we’ve updated the APIs used to retrieve account and organization substitutions. Each API can now return up to 10,000 substitutions, an increase from the previous 3,000-limit, allowing for more complete and reliable results when working with large substitution lists. (D-13874, 7/17/2025, 20.2.0 b32)
