Article summary

20.0.0 Release

T.B.D. - See Production Deployments for deployment process start date (when available).

  • Space Bar Displays Keyboard Name - To make it easier for clinicians to ensure that they are using the nVoq keyboard for typing and dictation, the space bar now says “nVoq Mobile Voice.” (D-13625, 12/10/2024, 19.3.0 build 0.1.0-rc.3)

  • Sign Out Link Removed from Active Dictation - In the previous release if you tap on Sign Out while you are actively dictating, the dictation was not stopped. If you signed in again, the dictation recording would still be in progress. This has been fixed. In the 20.0.0 release the Sign Out button is hidden while a dictation is in progress so that you cannot tap it accidentally while recording. The button reappears again once you stop the recording. This also changes the sign out process slightly, as you must now tap the red microphone icon to stop a recording before tapping the link to Sign Out. (D-13588, 1/9/2025, 20.0.0 build 0.1.0-rc10)

19.2.0 Release

September 2024 - See Production Deployments for deployment process start date.

  • Alpha Release of Mobile Voice for iOS - Document patient notes with your voice on your mobile Apple device using nVoq Mobile Voice, our HIPAA-compliant keyboard with dictation now available for iOS! Due to differences in iOS versus the Android operating system, Mobile Voice for iOS functions very differently from Mobile Voice for Android, but uses the same nVoq dictation on the backend. That means you can use the same formatting commands, substitutions, and vocabulary that are available on all nVoq applications. (B-17667, 19.2.0 b63, 9/16/2024)
