Mobile Voice & Microsoft Teams - Chat Closes While Typing

Issue:

While using Microsoft Teams mobile application with Mobile Voice the Teams chat will automatically close while I am typing text into a Teams chat field, and text I have already typed is gone.

This can happen when Teams text predictions is enabled and the "Tap" icon displays in the text field while you are typing.

What to do:

You can disable Text Predictions in Teams:

  1. In the Teams mobile app, tap your profile picture to open a menu.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Tap Messaging.

  4. Slide the toggle next to Text Predictions OFF (gray) to disable it.

  5. Once the Text Predictions setting is disabled you can close the Messaging and Settings screens by tapping the back arrow in the upper-left corner.
