Blank White Screen in Samsung Desktop Mode with Voice Assistant

Issue:

When Voice Assistant is viewed in Samsung’s Desktop Mode, the screen may turn white and become unresponsive.

When using Voice Assistant on Samsung devices in Desktop Mode (such as Samsung DeX), the app screen may appear blank or white. If this occurs, the screen does not automatically recover while remaining in Desktop Mode. This behavior is related to how Samsung Desktop Mode handles app rendering and is not currently supported for Voice Assistant. Standard phone and tablet modes are recommended for the best experience.

What to do:

To restore normal functionality, close and restart the Voice Assistant app. Exiting Desktop Mode before relaunching the app may also help prevent the issue from recurring.

  1. Close the Voice Assistant app.

  2. Exit Samsung Desktop Mode.

  3. Relaunch the app in standard phone or tablet mode.

Restarting the app restores normal functionality.
