  • New Drugs/Devices Support –  (B-17818, B-17819, B-17820, B-17821; 20250218

    • Corpus and dictionary supw drugs and medical deport for nevices approved by the FDA from September through December 2024 have been added.

  • Corpus Cleanup – (B-17686, D-13642, B-17697; 20250218

    • Ongoing cleanup of the corpus continues. The Home Health Care and General Medicine corpus materials have been reviewed and refined to remove misspellings and nonsensical phrasing.

  • Leads –  (D-13660; 20250218

    • Wire lead numbers were incorrectly returning as Roman numerals instead of Arabic numerals. For example, "coated wire leads 19.0 centimeters" was returning as "coated wire leads XIX 0 cm." Now "coated wire lead(s)", "wire lead(s)", or just "lead(s)" will return with Arabic numerals when followed by a number and the word "centimeters". When "EKG lead(s)" is spoken before numbers 1-3, the number will return in Roman numeral (for example "EKG leads I, II, III").

  • Date Recognition Improvements –  (B-17097, 20250224)

    • We have improved the recognition of dates spoken as a numerical sequence of month, day, and year. The following formats should now be correctly recognized:

      • "one eleven two thousand nineteen" → 1/11/2019

      • "one twenty one twenty twenty five" → 1/21/2025

      • "eleven five nineteen" → 11/5/19

    • Additionally, we have improved date recognition when it is preceded by the following words or phrases:

      • date [date]

      • dated [date]

      • seen on [date]

      • comparison: [date]

      • comparison [date]

      • CT [date]

      • CT: [date]

      • MRI [date]

      • MRI: [date]

    • Keep in mind that in some cases, when “2,” “4,” and “8” are not recognized as numbers (e.g., misinterpreted as "to," "for," or "a"), the result may not be formatted as a date.

    • Standards for Dictating Years:

      • To ensure the best accuracy in date recognition, users are encouraged to follow these guidelines when dictating years:

        • Full Year Format (Recommended for Best Accuracy): Saying "two thousand twenty four" ensures the highest accuracy.

        • Two-Digit Year Format (Supported, but May Have Variability): Saying "twenty twenty four" is now supported and should return the correct year more accurately.

      • Abbreviated Year Format (Not Recommended): Saying only "nineteen" may cause conflicts with other number-related rules. For example, "eleven to/two nineteen" could be misinterpreted as "11-19" or "11/2/19" instead of the intended year.

Accuracy - Radiology

  • Word "No" Not Returning – (D-13641; 20250218)

    • Extra support for phrases starting with the word "No," including examples such as "No acute" and "No comparison” was added. This was done to resolve an issue where "No" was not transcribed despite being spoken.

  • Non-Medical Names –  (B-17972, 20250224)

    • The likelihood of non-medical proper names appearing in transcripts has been significantly reduced.
