18.1.2 nVoq.Administrator Patch Release
August 2023 - See Production Deployments for deployment dates.

nVoq.Administrator

Two issues were discovered after the 18.1.0/18.1.1 deployment that are being fixed:

  1. Corrections made to dictations during system deployment of 18.1.0/18.1.1 (which occurred on 7/20/23 for Healthcare) were not saved due to the addition of a new transactions table that was added in this release. When any administrator attempts to view dictations that were corrected during the deployment time period, an error displays and the Detail Review & Correct page does not display the right dictation. (The last successfully viewed dictation is displayed instead.) The affected corrections are still applied as user sentence modeling. This was fixed with a script that does not require a code change. The script was run on 7/28/2023, fixing issues on Healthcare (there were no affected dictations on Canada).

  2. Corrections made by system-level administrators after the 18.1.0/18.1.1 system deployment (7/20/23 for Healthcare) that include adding audio observations and corrections in one Save transaction are not saved. The system administrator is presented with no error, but can no longer navigate to the next/previous dictation using the Next or Previous buttons. The following information is not saved for the affected dictation: Accuracy, Reviewed Date, Reviewed By, corrected Status, Audio Observations, and the corrected text. When attempting to view details for affected dictations (by double-clicking on the item in the list view or by using Next/Previous buttons), the administrator is presented with an error stating that the item could not be retrieved (400 error). On the Dictation Usage Report the Words Transcribed column is updated with the corrections, but the Average Original Transcript Accuracy is not. The affected corrections are still applied as user sentence modeling. This is caused by a race condition and is fixed in the 18.1.2 patch. A script was run on 7/28/2023 to fix dictations on Healthcare already affected (no dictations on Canada were affected). As a work-around to avoid this issue until the patch is deployed, system administrators can save audio observations FIRST as a separate transaction before saving any corrections.
