nVoq Dictation
The updates in this section impact all dictation clients, including nVoq Voice and Mobile Voice, as well as ISV partner clients using nVoq dictation.
- Dictation Speed Incremental Improvement for Mid-Dictation Command Users - Some architectural changes were made to slightly improve the speed of dictations. (B-17747, 10/9/2024, 19.3.0 b8)
- Fix for Intermittent WebSocket Network Errors - Work was done to fix an issue that was causing intermittent errors when clinicians would try to dictate, such as "Error associating message with a dictation. Waiting and retrying may solve the problem." or "WebSocket closed before open socket functionality executed." (D-13589, 10/17/2024, 19.3.0 b18)
- Fix for 180 Second Silence Timeout Limit Reached Too Soon - In the previous release dictations could error out reaching the 180 second silence timeout threshold, even though the length of audio was much shorter than that. This has been fixed. (D-13584, 10/21/2024, 19.3.0 b20)
- Fix for Dictations Processing During Server Shutdown Not Saved - In the 19.2.0 release dictations that are processing when a dictation server needs to shut down may not appear in Review & Correct. In 19.3.0 a new process which will start closing up any dictations still running when the server needs to shut down, allowing the dictations to appear in Review & Correct and be marked with an error. (D-13586, 11/1/2024, 19.3.0 b28)
nVoq Voice
- New SOAP Note Feature of Intelligent Formatting - Intelligent Formatting has a new feature called "SOAP Note" that extracts key details from your dictated or typed text and structures the data in the form of a SOAP note. SOAP Note Formatting is available as a "Preview" upon request. (B-17753, 11/4/2024, 19.3.0 b25)
Bug Fixes in nVoq Voice
- Fix for Intelligent Formatting Logo Missing - The Intelligent Formatting logo has been added to the Intelligent Formatting window header. (B-17861, 10/29/2024, 19.3.0 b25)
- Fix for Intelligent Formatting 428 Error Message - In the previous release Intelligent Formatting included an unnecessary check for expired password. This could cause it to display an error message ("Request failed with status code 428") and fail to work if a user signed in with a SSO account under a division that had the Reset on Initial Sign In parameter enabled. This has been fixed. Intelligent Formatting will now work if the user has a valid SSO token, regardless of password expiration state. (D-13628, 11/14/2024, 19.3.0 b36)
- Improved Error Handling for Voice Intelligent Formatting - In the previous release, Intelligent Formatting was not handling errors correctly and would instead show a green notification message and display an error code in the text area. Now error messages will present as a red notification, and no error message will display in the text area. (D-13626, 11/14/2024, 19.3.0 b36)
nVoq Administrator
- Download Multiple Sentence Model Documents Together - Per customer request, in the 19.3.0 release you can now download multiple sentence model documents at once. In the past this had to be done one at a time. Put a checkmark beside the documents you want to download on the list view on the Sentence Models page, then click the download icon in the blue toolbar. This icon previously would download a CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file that only included a list of sentence models, but now it downloads a ZIP file that contains the actual sentence model documents. Note that this means you can no longer download just a list of sentence models, but the actual documents are probably more helpful. (B-17537, 10/29/2024, 19.3.0 b23)
- Updated Sort Order of Names on Accounts Page - Per customer request you can now sort names on the Accounts page in alphabetical order, whether or not they are in all caps, initial cap, or all lowercase. Previously these were sorted in ASCII order (ALL CAPS first, followed by Initial Caps, and then all lowercase). The new sort order will be symbols first, followed by numbers, and then alphabetical. (B-17536, 10/29/2024, 19.3.0 b24)
Bug Fixes in nVoq Administrator
- Fix for Inability to Manage Provisioning Tokens - In the previous release the Auto Provisioning Token page does not open for Customer Administrators with tenant-level access. That page should be available to tenant level administrators so they can create or delete accounts and tokens to be used with an identity provider to create nVoq accounts through that provider that can sign in using SSO. The work-around is to have an nVoq employee create or delete these for you. Access to the Auto Provisioning Token page has been restored to tenant-level administrators in the 19.3.0 release. (D-13574, 19.3.0 b4, 9/30/2024)
nVoq APIs
- Fix for Inability to Use WebSocket Observer With Different Case Username - In the 19.2.0 release of nVoq dictation, end users can not dictate with a client that uses the WebSocket Observer Connection when signed in with a username that has different casing than what is entered in nVoq Administrator for the account. For example, if the user signs in with [email protected] but the username in nVoq Administrator is [email protected], the WebSocket Observer fails to connect. From the end user's point of view the dictation fails, but the dictation transcript and audio still appear in Review & Correct. This issue has been fixed - in the 19.3.0 release the WebSocket Observer will ignore casing. No changes were made to API documentation. (D-13587, 10/15/2024, 19.3.0 b16)
