Article Summary

The deployment process for the nVoq Wireless Microphone generally begins the next business day after the last system deployment date.
All systems must be running the updated release before we begin the deployment process for the same version of the Wireless Microphone. Once submitted to Apple, the application is reviewed and must be approved before it can be deployed. This usually takes a few days, but can take longer. Once approved, the application is made available to all customers.

19.0.0 Release

March 18, 2024 - See Production Deployments for deployment process start date.

If you are interested in testing the unreleased version of the Wireless Microphone on the Test system please contact nVoq Support.
  • Fix for Password Lockout Not Honoring Division Setting - An nVoq account is supposed to become locked if a user enters an incorrect password "too many" times. The number of times that is allowed is a division-level organization setting (Lockout - Maximum Failure). Unfortunately wrong password submissions were miscounted in the previous release, so users would get locked out before the allowed number of attempts. This has been fixed. In the 19.0.0 version of nVoq Wireless Microphone for iOS  password lockout in the honors the Maximum Failure number configured for the division. (D-13392, 1/10/2024, 19.0.0 b75)
  • Fix for Voice Client Version Not Appearing as Upgraded When Linked to iOS Wireless Mic - In the current release when you have nVoq.Voice paired with the nVoq.Wireless Microphone for iOS, updates to Voice are not reflected in nVoq.Administrator's Review & Correct until you relink to Voice on the Wireless Mic app. Dictations are recorded properly and appear in Review & Correct, but the old version of Voice is listed on the Detail Review & Correct page. In 19.0.0 Voice will delete the ID associated with the Wireless Mic the next time Voice is updated (for example to the 19.1.0 version), causing the Wireless Mic to lose the connection to Voice the next time dictation is attempted. An error message stating, "To continue dictating reselect a Voice Client below" will display in the Wireless Mic, and a dictation with a zero word count displays in Review & Correct. You will need to re-link the Wireless Microphone to Voice before you can dictate again. You will not see this change in the 19.0.0 version of the iOS Wireless Microphone or Review & Correct until the following release of nVoq.Voice (after 19.0.0). The work-around until then is to relink the Wireless Microphone proactively after Voice is updated (see iOS Wireless Mic Manual Relink to Voice). (D-13377, 1/24/2024, 19.0.0 b79)
  • Fix for Crash When Tapping Shortcuts Button While Dictating - In the previous release it was possible for the Wireless Microphone app to crash if you tapped the All Shortcuts button while dictating, or tried to end a dictation using that button instead of the dictation button. A fix was added in this release to prevent that. (D-13450, 2/12/2024, 19.0.0 b99)
  • About Version Message Refreshed - The message that appears when you tap About on the Settings screen has gotten a refresh. Instead of displaying in all light gray text that can be difficult to read, the message is now refreshed and easier to read. (B-17256, 2/22/2024, 19.0.0 b106)

18.2.0 Release

October 2023

  • Wireless Mic for iOS Supported on iOS 14+  - The nVoq Wireless Microphone for Apple devices is no longer supported by nVoq on iOS 13 mobile operating system (released September 2019). The oldest operating system now supported is iOS 14 (released September 2020). In a future release the Wireless Mic will cease to be available from the Apple App Store for devices running anything older than iOS 14. (B-17263, 8/21/2023)
  • SSO Not Supported, Sign In Documentation Updated - The nVoq Wireless Microphones do not support signing in with an SSO account (like Okta or Microsoft Azure) on the dictation client (like nVoq.Voice) and signing in with an nVoq account on the Wireless Microphone. You must use an nVoq account to sign in to the Wireless Microphone, and you must sign in to the dictation client using the same nVoq account. Documentation for signing into the Wireless Microphone was updated to make this more clear. (D-13325, 8/30/2023)
  • Fix for Problem with Initial Setup on Smaller Devices with Zoom - When setting up a smaller device (like an iPhone SE) the Continue button on the message about tracking data was cut off if the Zoom setting was configured to show larger text. This made it impossible to continue setting up the Wireless Microphone. In the 18.2.0 release the button is clickable regardless of zoom setting. (D-13337, 9/7/2023)
  • Lockout Message Clarifies What to Do About It, Displays Longer - The message that you see when your account is locked has been updated from, "Your account is locked. Please contact your administrator." to "Your account is temporarily locked. Please try again after 15 minutes or reset your password for immediate access." Additionally this message appears for a longer time so you have more of a chance to read it. Your account is locked when you enter an incorrect password too many times, or if your nVoq password was changed and the Wireless Microphone is still trying to sign in with your previous password. You do not need to contact an administrator when this happens though. As the message suggests, you can either wait 15 minutes for your account to unlock, or you can reset your password. Note however that your number of failed login attempts only resets to zero when you change your password or log in successfully. It does NOT reset after the 15 minute account lockout period expires. Also note that if your password was changed in another nVoq application, you must sign in to the Wireless Microphone (and all other nVoq applications) with that new password. (D-13347, 9/22/2023)

    18.1.0 Release

    July 2023
  • View Version Information for the Wireless Mic - You can now view version information for the iOS Wireless Microphone by tapping "About" on the Settings page. The version currently running on your device is listed along with information about whether or not there is a newer version available on the Apple App Store. (B-16865, 6/12/2023)
  • Fix for Disabled Organization Shortcuts Appear in Shortcut List - In the previous release organization shortcuts created at one level (e.g. tenant) and disabled at a lower organization level (e.g. group) are displayedin the iOS Wireless Mic shortcut list even though they are disabled. When you tap on one of these shortcuts, they do not run. This has been fixed. Disabled organization shortcuts no longer appear in the iOS Wireless Mic shortcut list no matter where they are disabled. (D-13223, 6/12/2023)

    18.0.0 Release

    March 2023
  • Reworded Error for Long Silence Detected in Dictation Recording - In the 17.1.0 release the iOS Wireless Microphone was updated to handle the dictation server automatically stopping dictation processing when there was too much silence detected in the recording. In that release the error message read, "Error encountered during dictation. Please try again."  In the 18.0.0 release the error message is more explicit and says, "Long silence was detected. Please try again." (B-16668, 12/12/2022)
  • iOS Wireless Mic Defaults to WebSocket for Dictation - With the 18.0.0 release, dictations on the iOS Wireless Microphone will use a WebSocket connection instead of HTTP by default. The connection between the iOS Wireless Mic and nVoq.Voice will be WebSocket. If using the iOS Wireless Mic with another dictation client that requires HTTP, the client will need to force an HTTP connection using a new tenant-level property which can be configured via API (see Organization Property to Force HTTP Connections on iOS Wireless Mic). (B-17034, 3/9/2023)

    17.2.0 Release

    November 2022

  • Dictation and Settings Screen Icons Color Change - In previous releases when viewing either the dictation screen or the settings screen, the icon for the screen not being viewed was grayed out, making it appear unavailable. The color has been updated in the 17.2.0 release. Now the icon for the screen being viewed in orange, while the icon for the one not being viewed is bright white. (B-16541, 7/26/2022)

    17.1.0 Release

    July 2022
  • Quick Access Shortcut Buttons Grayed Out - The quick access shortcut buttons near the bottom of the dictation screen on the iOS are now grayed out when a dictation or voice shortcut recording is in progress. (D-12909, 3/28/2022)
  • Performance Improvements - Improvements were made to the encoder in the iOS Wireless Microphone which now sends audio faster and in smaller chunks to the dictation server. In testing done on the "ReDS" dictation server, this improved both accuracy and speed. (B-16455, 3/30/2022)
  • Server-Side Performance Improvement - The "EDS" dictation server was updated to slightly improve the processing speed of dictations recorded with the nVoq.Wireless Microphone for iOS. (This change was not needed on the "ReDS" dictation server.) The decrease in processing time from this change alone may not be noticeable to the end user, but is part of a general effort to improve dictation processing speeds on the Wireless Microphone. Because this change was made on the 17.1.0 dictation server it requires the 17.1.0 platform upgrade on your system. (B-16456, 4/4/2022)
  • iOS Wireless Mic Error for Long Silence Detected in Dictation Recording - The Wireless Microphone was updated to handle the ReDS dictation server automatically stopping dictation processing when a configurable length of silence (180 seconds by default) is detected. (See 17.1.0 Release Notes under nVoq Dictation for more information about that.) The new error message in the Wireless Microphone says, "Error encountered during dictation. Please try again." When used with SayIt, SayIt will also display an error at the same time that says, "Long silence was detected. Please try again." When this error occurs, recording stops and any transcript that may have been recorded up to that point is pasted where the cursor was placed and is available in Review & Correct. Dictation recordings that display this error are marked in Review & Correct with an error stating, "Stopped dictation due to silence exceeding # seconds." (B-16695, 6/15/2022; B-16803, 6/28/2022)

    17.0.0 Release

    March 2022

  • Voice Shortcut Timeout Not Saved - If you change the Voice Shortcut Timeout at the top of the Settings screen to something other than the default (3 seconds), the setting is not saved. This has been fixed in the 17.0.0 release. This setting allows you to configure the length of time in seconds that the app will stay in record mode to record a voice shortcut command before automatically stopping the recording and running your shortcut. As a workaround to stop recording sooner you can tap the voice shortcut button. There is no workaround for extending the recording. (D-12747, 2/2/22)

    16.2 Release

    September 2021

  • Change Password Error Message Change - If you change the password in nVoq.Administrator while signed in to nVoq.Voice and the nVoq.Wireless Microphone, both Voice and the Wireless Microphone drop the connection the next time you try to dictate to allow you to sign in with your new password. In the previous release, the error message that displayed in the iOS Wireless Microphone said, "User not authorized to perform action" which did not describe the problem and also did not match the message displayed in nVoq.Voice ("Invalid username and/or password"). The error message that displays in the iOS Wireless Microphone in this situation has now been updated to match the message in Voice and says, "Invalid username and/or password." (D-12521, 5/10/2021)*
  • Improved Voice Shortcuts Button Interface with nVoq.Voice - The nVoq.Wireless Microphone for iOS now knows that voice shortcuts cannot be used while linked to nVoq.Voice. The 16.2 version of the nVoq.Wireless Microphone for iOS will now display their voice shortcut button as grayed out when paired with the 16.2 version of nVoq.Voice. (B-16073 5/18/2021)*
  • Error Message Now Presents After Losing Link to nVoq.Voice After Password Change - If you change your password in the iOS nVoq.Wireless Microphone while linked to nVoq.Voice you will be automatically signed out of nVoq.Voice the next time you try to perform a dictation, as expected. When you log back into Voice with your new password, even though it appears that the Wireless Microphone is still linked to nVoq.Voice, you are unable to record dictations. Now an error message presents in this situation letting you know that you need to reselect a voice client for dictation. (D-12577, 5/20/2021)*
  • Forward and Back Buttons Now Tab Through Form Fields When Linked to nVoq.Voice - The forward arrow button (▶▶) and back arrow button (◀◀) can now be used to tab forward and backwards through form fields in a web browser on your desktop when linked to nVoq.Voice. Previously these buttons did not function at all when linked to Voice. To use this feature, you must be linked to a 16.2 version of nVoq.Voice. (B-16132, 5/24/2021)*
  • Transcription Feature Removed - In this release we say good-bye to Transcription, which allowed you to send dictations from the iOS Wireless Microphone directly to the administrator console without logging in to a dictation client and pasting text into another application. This feature had few users and has been removed from the the app.  (B-15005, 5/26/2021)*
  • Shortcut Folders Removed - Shortcut folders have been removed from the app in this release. Previously if you tapped into the Search field at the top of the All Shortcuts list, the list would display account and organization shortcut folders (if any existed) and you could tap on a folder to view the shortcuts inside. This feature had little to no usage and has been retired. Now if you tap into the Search field at the top of the All Shortcuts list, the list of shortcuts remains on the screen. (B-16138, 6/1/2021)*
  • Fix for Occasional Inability to Run Shortcuts in nVoq.Voice from nVoq.Wireless Microphones - Occasionally users were unable to run shortcuts from either the Android or the iOS nVoq.Wireless Microphone when linked to nVoq.Voice. If you tapped on a shortcut on the Wireless Mic, nothing would happen. Shortcuts would start working again automatically after multiple failed attempts. This issue has been fixed in the event processing web service for 16.2 so requires the 16.2 platform upgrade on your system. (D-12617, 6/14/2021)*
  • Fix for All Shortcuts Button Does Not Stop Dictation In Progress - In the last release, if you tapped the All Shortcuts button on the iOS Wireless Microphone while dictating, the dictation continues and your shortcut is also run on your computer. This could be problematic if your shortcut inserts text. Tapping the All Shortcuts button during a dictation is supposed to stop the dictation that is in progress, and that is once again what happens if you attempt this in the 16.2 release of the Wireless Microphone for iOS. (D-12668, 8/16/2021)*
  • Fix for Confirm Password Text Field Covered by Keyboard - On the Reset Password screen, the Confirm New Password text field and the Change Password button would be covered up by the keyboard if you had the Display Zoom iOS setting set to "Zoomed". The work-around was to change your password in the dictation client instead of the Wireless Microphone app. This has been fixed. Now if you have the Display Setting set to "Zoomed" on your device, the Reset Password screen will scroll up automatically so that you can see what you are typing in the Confirm Password field and also click the button to change your password. (D-12664, 8/18/2021)*
  • Fix for All Types of Shortcuts Display on Wireless Mic When Linked to nVoq.Voice After New Shortcut is Created - Because nVoq.Voice can only run Insert text shortcuts, the iOS Wireless Microphone only displays Insert text shortcuts in the All Shortcuts menu. However, if you create a new shortcut and then click on the All Shortcuts button to refresh your list of shortcuts, all types of shortcuts are displayed in that list. The work-around is to sign out of the Wireless Microphone app and sign back in. This has been fixed. The shortcuts that you see in the All Shortcuts menu after adding a new shortcut will now be limited to Insert text shortcuts when linked to nVoq.Voice .(D-12619, 8/18/2021)

    16.1.02 Release

    June 2021

The 16.1 version was originally supposed to be deployed to the Apple App Store in May 2021, but deployment was delayed to June 2021 due to a new requirement in iOS 14.
  • Fix for Duplicate Shortcuts in List - If an organization shortcut and an account shortcut both have the same name, the shortcut list in the Wireless Microphone will show both shortcuts, so you will see two shortcuts with the same name in the shortcut list. This has been fixed. Now only the account shortcut will be displayed in the list, which matches what is displayed in SayIt. (D-12291, 1/13/2021)
  • Fix for Account Property Pulling from Wrong Info - The account property "W Mic Device Model" (visible in the administrator console) was pulling the iOS device code type (aka "machine ID") instead of the device product name. For example, a user with an iPhone 11 would have the W Mic Device Model account property listed as "iPhone12,1" instead of "iPhone 11". This account property has now been reconfigured to pull the device's product name. This account property in the administrator console will be updated with the correct information the next time a user signs in on the 16.1 version of the Wireless Microphone app. (D-12312, 1/13/2021)
  • Fix for nVoq Account Locked After Pressing iPhone Side Button - Using the iOS Wireless Microphone app it was possible for a user account to be locked after pressing the side button on the iPhone if Select and Say was turned on in the SayIt Options menu. This was caused by background polling done by the Wireless Microphone with the Select and Say feature, which attempted to access the user's nVoq password. When the side button on the iPhone was pressed, the device was locked and the Wireless Microphone could no longer access the user's nVoq password. This polling would happen multiple times until the nVoq account was finally locked. In the 16.1 release, the Wireless Microphone will no longer poll when it has an invalid (or no) password, so the nVoq account will not get locked out in this situation. (D-12307, 1/26/2021)
  • Fix for Edited Shortcut Name Not Updating on Quick Access Button - If the NAME of a shortcut assigned to a quick access button was changed in the administrator console or in SayIt, the the name of the shortcut on the quick access button on the Wireless Microphone app did not get updated and would no longer work. If the name was updated in the administrator console, the button would continue to work and run the shortcut until the name was updated in the shortcut list in SayIt. At that point, the name on the button would no longer match the name of the shortcut SayIt was expecting and would do nothing. (If an account shortcut name was changed in SayIt, the shortcut name on the button would stops matching immediately.) The work-around was to re-assign the button to the new shortcut name in the All Shortcuts list, but to do that you had to know the new name of the shortcut. In the 16.1.00 version of the Wireless Mic app, if a shortcut name is changed in either SayIt or the administrator console, the name on the quick access button is automatically updated when you log out and log back in to the app and the shortcut continues to work. (D-12402, 3/9/2021)
  • Fix for Topic Change in nVoq.Voice Not Honored by Wireless Microphone - If the dictation topic was changed to something other than the topic set for the group, the Wireless Microphone app would not honor that setting and the Wireless Microphone would continue to process dictations using the topic set for the group. This has been fixed. Now the topic selected in nVoq.Voice is used to process dictations recorded with the Wireless Microphone. (D-12476, 3/19/2021)
  • Fix for Topic "Unknown" for Wireless Mic Dictations - Dictations recorded with the iOS Wireless Microphone would not show the topic that was used to process the dictation on the nVoq.Administrator Review & Correct dictation Timeline tab or in the list view on the Review & Correct page (which is an optional column on that page). Instead the topic would be listed as "Unknown". This has been fixed in the 16.1 release of the iOS Wireless Mic. (D-12439, 3/26/2021)
  • Fix for Duplicate Transcript from nVoq.Voice / Wireless Microphone - When dictating with the nVoq Wireless Microphone with nVoq.Voice, if you start the recording by tapping the dictation button in the Wireless Microphone but then try to end the recording by tapping the F2 key or dictation button in Voice, the recording would not stop. Then if you tapped the dictation button in the Wireless Microphone to end the recording, the dictation transcript would be pasted twice. This has been fixed, and you can successfully end a dictation that was started in the Wireless Mic by tapping the F2 key or dictation button in Voice and a single transcript will paste as soon as the dictation is done processing. When a recording is ended this way, the dictation button in the iOS app would still looks like it was still in record mode until you manually tapped on the button again. With this release of the iOS app, the dictation button on the app will automatically go back to non-record mode once the dictation is done processing. (D-12472, 4/13/2021)
  • New Name, New Look - The SayIt Wireless Microphone is now called the nVoq.Wireless Microphone and has a whole new loook. There is now a welcome screen when you first sign in, and the background and button colors have been updated on the sign in screen, the Dictation screen, the Settings screen, and the Change Password screen. On the Apple App store the app will now be called "nVoq Mic" and will have an orange icon.  (B-16095, B-14626, 4/16/2021; D-12552, 4/26/2021)
  • Themes No longer Supported - With the new design of the app, themes created in the administrator console are no longer applied to the Wireless Microphone for iOS. Prior to this release the theme appeared on the Wireless Microphone as a customized client name on the login screen above the login credentials, and as a customized color that appeared on the Sign In button and as an outline on the Dictation and Voice Shortcut buttons. (B-16095, B-14626, 4/16/2021)
  • Run Shortcuts in nVoq.Voice from the All Shortcuts Menu in iOS Wireless Mic - The ability to activate shortcuts from the iOS Wireless Microphone on a computer running nVoq.Voice has been added in this release. Shortcuts can only be run from the app by tapping a shortcut name in the All Shortcuts menu. The shortcuts that you see in the menu when you are linked to nVoq.Voice will be limited to Insert text shortcuts, which are the only type of shortcuts that can be run in nVoq.Voice. If you used the Wireless Microphone with SayIt previously and have shortcuts assigned to quick access buttons that are not Insert shortcuts, those will remain assigned to the buttons but will not be functional while linked to nVoq.Voice. (B-16161, 4/29/2021)
  • Request Permission to Collect Usage Data - The May 2021 deployment of the 16.1 version of the iOS nVoq.Wireless Microphone was rejected by Apple due to a new requirement in iOS 14 that requires apps that track usage data to ask permission to do so. Since nVoq does track your usage on the Wireless Microphone for analytics and client logs in order to provide you with better support and product improvements, the iOS nVoq.Wireless Microphone will now present a message during initial setup letting you know that we are required to ask permission to track this information, and then you are presented with a message asking if you want to allow this or not. Note that new users installing the app will NOT see either of these messages if the "Allow Apps to Request to Track" setting is disabled under Settings > Privacy. (B-16187, 6/22/2021)

    16.0 Release

    January 2021

  • Fix for SayIt Progress Indicator Spins After Phone Call Interruption - In previous versions of the app, if a phone call came in while attempting a voice shortcut, the app will stop actively listening for a shortcut (the shortcut button goes back to white), but the shortcut window in the SayIt client would remain open and the progress indicator continued to "spin" while looking for a shortcut until it was manually canceled by the user. This has been fixed. (D-11229, 8/26/2020)
  • Fix for Inability to Use # in New Password - When changing password in the app, the pound symbol or hashtag (#) was not being accepted as a character in a new password even though it is actually allowed by the system. It would look like it was an accepted password (text fields all outlined in green), but when clicking the Change Password button, an error message would display. This has been fixed. You can now use a hashtag/pound symbol in passwords. (D-11402, 8/26/2020)
  • Fix for Alternative Shortcut Names Not in Shortcut List - Shortcuts with alternative names that are marked as "visible" in the admin console or Shortcut Designer were not displaying in the shortcut list on the app. This has been fixed. (D-11866, 8/27/2020)
  • Fix for New Shortcuts Require Logout to View In App - New shortcuts added via SayIt, either administrator console, or Shortcut Designer are not displayed in the All Shortcuts list until the user logged out of the app and logged back in, even though shortcuts added from these sources could be used as voice shortcuts almost immediately after being added. This has been fixed. Now when viewing the All Shortcuts list you can drag down from the top of the screen to refresh the list. (D-12192, 8/27/2020)
  • Fix for Change Password Not Accepting Parenthesis Character - When changing the password from the iOS app a strong password is required and the password field would not accept a parenthesis character [(] as one of the symbols in the password, even though that symbol is an allowed in the system. This has been fixed. Additionally, the wording of the change password screen has been updated slightly to indicate the password requirements: "Strong Password: Requires at least 8 characters and must contain lowercase, uppercase, number, and a symbol." (D-11401, 8/31/2020)
  • Experimental Label Removed from Input Device Setting - On the Settings screen under More Options the term "Experimental" has been removed from the Select Input Device setting. This setting, which allows you to use a different recording input other than your device's internal microphone (like a Bluetooth device), is stable and no longer considered experimental. (B-15795, 9/9/2020)
  • Change Password on Initial Sign In - You can now change your password (when required do so) as part of the initial sign in after installing the app. In previous releases, the only way to change password on first sign in from the app was to use the Forgot Password? link on the sign in screen, but as a work-around you could sign in to SayIt first, change your password there, and then log in to the wireless microphone app. You can also change your password from the Settings screen once you are signed in to the app, as you could before, but the Reset Password screen looks a little different now. Note that the app does not honor the password strength set at your division level organization. You must enter a "strong" password (at least 8 characters and must contain lowercase, uppercase, number, and a symbol) regardless of the setting at the division. (D-12222, 10/8/2020)

    15.2 Release

    September 2020

  • Updated URL for Online Help - On the Settings screen, the Support Center link will open is now https://support.nvoq.com/wireless-microphone-ios-help instead of http://support.nvoq.com/wireless-microphone. Information on the page has not changed. (B-14823, 7/24/2020)
  • Fix for Dictation/Shortcut Button Stays in Record Mode After WiFi Dropped - When a WiFi connection is dropped in the middle of a dictation or a voice shortcut, users receive an error message that says the Internet connection was lost, but the button stays in record mode (even though it is no longer recording). A dictation in this state will eventually time out, but a voice shortcut does not and must be manually canceled from SayIt. This has been fixed. Now when a WiFi connection is dropped, a dictation or voice shortcut recording will automatically stop. (D-11665, 7/28/2020)
  • Fix for Non-Visible Shortcuts Appearing in List - Shortcuts not marked as "Visible" in SayIt Administrator, nVoq.Administrator, or Shortcut Designer should not appear in the shortcut list at all. However, they were appearing in the All Shortcuts list in the Wireless Mic app. This has been fixed and these shortcuts will no longer appear in the All Shortcuts list. (D-11525, 7/28/2020)
  • Fix for Account Shortcuts Appearing at Top of List - Account and organization shortcuts should be listed together in alphabetical order in the All Shortcuts list. Instead, account shortcuts were appearing first in the list, followed by organization shortcuts. This has been fixed. (D-11526, 7/28/2020)

    15.0 Release

    May 2020

  • Voice Compression Changed / Setting Removed - The default voice compression level has been changed from 5 (medium compression) to 1 (most compression) for all users, and the Voice Compression setting on the settings screen in the app has been removed. In the past the setting would be posted to the user's account properties under "W Mic Ogg Compression" if it was changed on the app to something other than 5, but will no longer be posted to account properties at all. Though the old user-set property may still appear listed in the account properties, all who are using the latest version of the app have their compression set at 1. (B-15438, 3/25/2020)

    14.1 Release

    April 2019

  • Voice Shortcut Audio Meter -  When you record a voice shortcut on the Wireless Mic app, the popup audio meter on the computer running SayIt will appear so that you can visually see that SayIt is responding. (B-14335,  10/25/2018)
  • Instead of Account Lockouts, Usage After Password Change Takes You to Sign In Screen - In the previous version, if you are logged into the Wireless Mic app when you changed your password in SayIt but did not log out of the app and then log back in to it with the new password, the next dictation attempt did not work, and the user was not presented with any error message. Each subsequent dictation attempt would then count as a login attempt, and eventually the user would be locked out of their account. In this release, instead of all of that happening, the user will be taken back to the sign in screen when they tap any button. There they should sign in with their new password. (D-11000, 11/2/2018)
  • Long Theme Text Truncated - If the client has a long name as part of a Theme, the text would be cut off on the app after about 20 or so characters. In this release, the app will wrap long text to show up to 45 characters, which is the maximum length that a name can be as part of a Theme. (D-11113, 2/13/2019)
  • Reduction in Malformed Audio Errors - Issues with audio drop during compression result in a dramatic decrease in "malformed audio" errors. (D-11225, 2/14/2019)
  • Wireless Mic App Strong Password is Required Message - For increased security, when configuring a password on the Wireless Microphone app, the password strength must be "Strong" regardless of what is configured at the division level organization. (Note: This only effects passwords changed on the app itself, including logging in to the app as your initial login with password change required. If your password is set or changed in another nVoq product [including SayIt, Shortcut Designer, or the administrator console] password strength conforms to the setting configured at the division level and can still be used to log in to the app.) When entering a new password on the app, you will now see text that reminds you that the app requires a strong password. A "Strong" password requires at least 8 characters and must contain lowercase, uppercase, number, and a symbol. (D-11180, 3/5/2019)
  • Meaningful Password Error Message - When changing a password on the Wireless Microphone app, if you enter same password in both the Old Password and New Password field or if you enter a password that has been used previously (when not allowed to do so based on division-level configuration), instead of a message that just says, "There was an error when resetting the password," the messages will now say, "Password cannot be used since it was used previously."  (D-11179, 3/11/2019)
  • Select and Say Commands Not Working with Fast Shortcuts - When Fast Shortcuts is enabled, the Select and Say commands, such as "Accept Dictation" or "undo", were not working. This has been fixed by automatically disabling the Fast Shortcut account setting when a voice shortcut is run from the iOS Wireless Mic. All shortcuts, including Select and Say commands, will run via server side matching. (D-11227, 3/20/2019)
  • Microphone Stops Recording, User Sees Transcription Failed Error - When doing back-to-back recordings it was possible to get a Transcription failed error and the microphone would automatically stop recording. This has been fixed. The app will no longer allow a new dictation until the previous dictation has completed processing. The dictation button on the app will not respond until it is ready. (D-11283, 3/20/2019)
