nVoq Dictation

The updates in this section impact all dictation clients.
This includes nVoq Voice and Mobile Voice, as well as ISV partner clients using nVoq dictation.

  • Inaccurate Initial Transcriptions for Pathology and Radiology Dictations - Some dictations on the Pathology and Radiology topics were returning inaccurate transcriptions during initial processing. However, resubmitting the same audio through the same accounts often produced improved results. Testing revealed the issue was related to inconsistent boundary requests. We’ve updated the boundary request logic to help improve the accuracy of transcripts sent for review. With these updates, however, there is a chance that part of the audio from the start of one segment could be included at the end of the previous segment. (D-13833, 6/24/2025, 20.2.0 b16)
  • Fix for Missing Words in Dictation Transcripts - In the previous release, some users experienced missing words in their dictation transcripts. This issue has been resolved by improving how the system determines when to segment audio during transcription, resulting in more accurate and complete transcripts. (D-13863, 7/9/2025, 20.2.0 b25)

nVoq Voice

nVoq Administrator

  • Expired Identity Provider Tokens Remain Visible for 7 Days - In previous releases, identity provider auto provisioning tokens were automatically removed from the Auto Provisioning Token page on the same day that they expired, which meant that it was not obvious that the token had expired because it was gone. In the 20.0.0 release, we addressed part of this issue by adding email notifications for tenant-level Customer Administrators, alerting them to upcoming token expirations. With this release, expired tokens will now remain visible on the Auto Provisioning Token page for seven days after expiration so that it is very clear that they have expired. (S-17894, 6/6/2025, 20.2.0 b4)
  • Fix for Delayed Correction Data in Dictation Usage Organization Detail Report on New Reporting Platform - Data from corrections made on the Review & Correct page shortly after midnight may have been delayed in appearing in the Dictation Usage Organization Detail Report on our new reporting platform due to a timestamp issue. This only affected administrators who are using the new reporting platform, which is currently only available for the Dictation Usage Organization Detail Report. This issue has been resolved in release 20.2.0. (D-13849, 6/17/2025, 20.2.0 b10)
  • Fix for Incorrect Highlighting in Note Assist Category Testing - In the last release, we made a security update to prevent potentially harmful code from being included in displayed text. As a result, Note Assist's category testing feature sometimes highlights the wrong sections of text. This issue has now been resolved. (D-13861, 6/18/2025, 20.2.0 b12)
  • Fix for Inconsistent Results in R&C “Look for Word” Filter - The Look for Word filter on the Review & Correct page was showing inconsistent results, especially after adjusting the date range. For example, expanding the date range could result in fewer matches for a word — which impacted the accuracy of usage or compliance reviews. This issue was caused by a record limit in the search query. That limit has now been removed, and the filter returns complete results across the selected time window. (D-13811, 6/19/2025, 20.2.0 b13)
  • Character Limit Removed for Note Assist Categories - In previous releases, "and/or" clauses in Note Assist categories were limited to 255 characters, and categories exceeding this limit would not save. This issue has been resolved — there is no longer a character limit on Note Assist categories. (S-18311, 6/24/2025, 20.2.0 b15)
  • Note Assist "Failure Responses" Renamed  - To better reflect their purpose, "Failure Responses" in Note Assist have been renamed to "Coaching Tips." These optional messages can be added by administrators and appear below a failed category when Note Assist is run, providing helpful guidance on what information is missing or needs to be added for the category to pass. The new Coaching Tips name is now visible in the Note Assist list view, the Add/Edit Category page, and in downloaded audit files (CSV format). The Note Assist category upload template has also been updated to reflect this change. For convenience and compatibility, the system will still accept files using the old Failure Response column header when uploading categories. (S-18310, 6/24/2025, 20.2.0 b15)
  • Improved Visibility for Coaching Tips on the Note Assist Audit Test Tab - Coaching Tips (formerly called "Failure Responses") on the Test tab for Note Assist audits now appear in red text with a pink highlight to make them easier to spot. These tips have always been displayed beneath failed category names, but the updated styling makes them more noticeable. (S-18345, 7/3/2025)
  • Fix for Errors When Updating Users with Apostrophes in Account Information - In the previous release, account names or email addresses containing an apostrophe (') could cause an internal server error when updating user properties. This issue has been resolved in the 20.2.0 release. (D-13854, 7/9/2025, 20.2.0 b26)

nVoq APIs

  • Fix for WebSocket Observer API Not Supporting SSO with Wireless Microphones - The WebSocket Observer API was not properly handling Single Sign-On (SSO) requests for WebSocket dictation with nVoq Wireless Microphones due to an incorrect organization identifier. The API has been updated to use the correct identifier, and SSO with WebSocket dictation now functions as expected. No API documentation changes. (D-13448, 6/24/2025, 20.2.0 b16)
