Article Summary

Shortcuts are tasks that a client completes for you.

nVoq Voice and nVoq Mobile Voice can only run "Insert Text" shortcuts.

Insert Text

The Insert Text shortcut can paste verbiage that users commonly type—a single sentence, many paragraphs, templates, or your name and contact information—directly into the system of record.

  • You can also use environment variables within the text, to automatically insert things like a user's first or last name or email address within the pasted text.
  • For more information about configuring shortcuts, see the Shortcut Guide
  • For examples of how Insert Text shortcuts can be used, see Shortcut Examples.
Environment variables do NOT work for Insert shortcuts in Mobile Voice. (They do work in nVoq Voice.)
These may be fixed in Mobile Voice in a future release. If you are interested in using environment variables with Mobile Voice, let us know.
