On the System Intelligent Formatting Designer page you can create, edit, and delete Intelligent Formatting designs for the entire system.


System Intelligent Formatting Page Toolbar

DeleteToolbar-Trash-icon

When one or more designs is selected using the checkmark to the left of the list, the trash can icon appears in the toolbar. Click the trash can icon to delete the selected designs. A dialog box appears letting you know how many designs will be deleted. You must click the Yes, delete intelligent formatting designs button on the dialog to delete the designs.

Click on the plus symbol to create a new design. See Add System Intelligent Formatting Design.

UploadToolbar-Upload-icon

Click on the upload icon to upload a .csv file of one or more designs. See Upload System Intelligent Formatting Design.

DownloadToolbar-Download-icon

Click on the download icon to download a .csv file (intelligentFormattingDesignSystem.csv) that includes that includes the Name, Description, Design, Type, and Enabled status of either selected designs or all designs in the list view.

  • The Type column only appears on system-level downloads. This column is not required for upload, but designs in any file that does not have the Type specified will be automatically classified as "structured."
  • If on the Edit System Intelligent Formatting Design page, the Download option will download a .csv file that includes just the one design shown on the page.

Searchgeneric-search-field

Use the Search field near the top-right to find designs using information in columns visible on the page. 

  • A minimum of two (2) characters must be entered to initiate a search.
  • The search field is case insensitive.


Intelligent Formatting Designer Page Columns

The columns that display in the list view by default are: Name, Description, Modified Date, Modified By, Enabled, and the Actions menu.

  • Data in the list view can be sorted on any column by clicking on a column header. An arrow displays next to the column header currently used for sorting. By default designs are sorted by Name.

Page Icon / Checkbox

Hover your mouse over the page icon Intelligent Formatting Design ICON.png and click to put a checkmark in the box to select the design in order to perform an action on it from the blue toolbar. Once selected, the row turns green and has a checkmark on the left.

  • Select multiple designs by clicking on each icon and then perform actions available from the icons in the blue toolbar on all selected designs.
  • Select all designs in the list by putting a checkmark in the box on the left side of the column headers (above the design icons).

Name

This is the name of the design that appears in the Voice and Mobile Voice Intelligent Formatting drop-down menu.

Description

This is identifying information about the design. This field is optional, so may be blank.

Type

This is the kind of formatting this design will create: structured or format.

  • Structured: This type of design pulls information from a clinical note and puts it into a specific structure, such as a SOAP Note. It also adds punctuation and capitalization, and may correct some mistakes and/or typos.
  • Format: This type of design adds punctuation, capitalization, and may correct some mistakes and/or typos.

Modified Date

This is the date and time that the design was last saved.

Modified By

This is the username of the person who last saved the design.

Enabled

This column displays a "Yes" if the design is available in Voice and Mobile Voice for everyone on the entire system if the "premium" version of Intelligent Formatting has been purchased or if the "advancedInteligentFormatting" property is TRUE for the account or organization. A "No" means the design is not visible in Voice or Mobile Voice. 

Actions

Click on the actions iconAccounts-actions-iconnext to an design in the list to open a menu and select an action to take with the design listed on that specific row. Possible actions include:

  • Edit Item: This opens the design so you can see details and make changes. See Edit System Intelligent Formatting Design.
  • Copy Item: This opens a COPY of the design, which is indicated by the word "copy" at the end of the design Name. See Copy System Intelligent Formatting Design.
  • Delete: This permanently deletes the design. When you select this option, a dialog box appears letting you know how many designs will be deleted. You must click the Yes, delete intelligent formatting design button on the dialog to delete the design.
